sheep and shunning
A really good day out today. The weather is definitely cooler – last night was the first night in the tent that weve felt a bit cold. I think tonight will be a final camping night for just now. Headed off to visit Nicola this morning. On the way we stopped off at Loanhead of Daviot [...]
banana maths
This morning weve been kept really busy with maths – Dan’s tutorial lasted a long time and had lots more questions than usual. Charlotte was doing magical maths again and the angles took a while – backed that up with a banana game and also Kung Fu Angles which she really liked and completed all [...]
transport and the boys :)
A much needed day with old friends. Went to visit Nicola and we all had great fun running around on her 18 acres – mmm… next house will have bit of land… Nicola and I have been friends since we were 11 or 12 so have known each others children all their lives. She was noting how [...]
Cat’s cakes
Catriona arrived this morning bearing chocolate – amazing cupcakes (hope she didn’t feel obliged by my hints in diary!), a chocolate Christmas tree and frogs… mmm… Had a fairly brief trip to the Lighthouse Museum in Fraserburgh as they were closing so we didn’t get a trip up the lighthouse – was quite fun anyway. [...]
castle day 1
Arrived bright and early at the castle yesterday. Lynda set off on her expedition to Berlin and we settled in. Had shop at Findhorn and went to pick up Michaela from school. Lots of deja-vue as we all used to do a school run together in the past. This is a nicer school though – [...]
Burning of the Clavie
Just come home from our few days away in a pink castle (no – I am perfectly serious) – have unpacked, had lunch and will now try to remember everything and document it Kids are just puddling with TV and computer games – just an unwinding afternoon. Started off going to the North of Scotland [...]

friends and mince pies
Had unexpected visitors today who have not seen for a while. Very nice time catching up with all our news. We supported each other through some tough times in the last couple of years and it was good to see we are both in happier places now. Poor Lynda was made to sit and listen [...]
Narnia
Just been sent this free worksheet creator. My oldest friend came to visit today with her son – that is old in the time I have known her not in actual age Had a lovely time catching up, reminiscing with bitter school stories and eating. Went out to the local garden centre to be emersed [...]
Christmas without Cruelty Edinburgh 2005
Drove down to Edinburgh for the Cruelty-Free Christmas Fair yesterday. A really good day. It was held in the Freemasons Hall which was a fascinating and impressive building in itself. We were “helping” Catriona with her vegan cookery demonstrations which meant we saw a bit more of the building down underneath, the kitchens etc. Charlotte [...]
