Seem to be having some trouble prioritising blogging (the smiley denotes that I do not actually care about this in the slightest so do not expect it to change anytime soon )

So, instead, I will draw your attention to a new blog on the sidebar. It makes me giggle every morning as I swig nettle tea and peruse the internet in bed, thinking of the Knickernator out running and smiling with her liver – Skedaddle!

Whoops, no blog posts for a bit! We were blocked in for two weeks, then ran madly around buying food and Christmas. I do prefer Yule, no purchase required

In the midst of this we had a sad happening with the loss of Fantine. She was 20 years old and very frail but we all miss her very much. I looked out some older photos of her as I didn’t want the children to just remember her as a little old lady. She was a powerful cat, always very protective of my babies

Then there was a frenzied early unwrapping of one of my presents due to the (I thought at the time, unrectifiable ) breakdown of my old ipod nano. See how quickly I throw aside ethical non-buying preferences where Apple products are concerned?

but it didn’t, so we did not have to brave the mines of Moria, 3 times up and down Bennachie accomplished and quite a bit of money raised for the trees :) My legs hurt today!

These new signs help to avoid confusion, there are even paths at the bottom linking different carparks so you can go down different ways without reclimbing if you wish

This was the toughest climb being our third, even though it is the easiest path and most gentle slope.

Had a wonderful afternoon with friends, sea swimming and boogie boarding – walking over dunes beforehand. Then another busy day yesterday at a home ed group viking re-enactment workshop (associated with the Dufftown Heritage Festival this weekend), also visiting Balvenie Castle and Banff Museum (which is exactly as I remember it as a child, slightly disturbing).

Saw some of the lovely t-shirts made by one of the families in the group being beautifully modelled – they have home ed, breast feeding, Pictish and Celtic designs (Charlotte has the Celtic tree one). They have bags too
