Have just added a ‘pick of the vegan Christmas chocolate’ bit to the chocolate room. Here it is:

We have a really old (21 years) rosemary tree in a pot outside which still gives us lovely flavour and nutrients all year round :)

Was quite excited to discover our favourite food prep appliance ever, the Vitamix (page on it here with lots of blendy recipes) is now available at both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com as are Blendtecs :)

That was a lot of linkage, off for a long walk in the small amount of snow now :D

A toasted onion and poppy seed bagel topped with hummus, chervil, rocket and tomato; a perfect mix of freshness and solidity for a cold morning :D

A month or so ago I pulled out all the shot rocket and chervil from one of the raised beds, leaving behind only the cut and come again lettuces from the salad mix, or so I thought. The whole patch is now covered in a lawn of young plants. Beautiful.

Will be interesting to see how long it survives…  self seeded parsley always goes all winter. These are in quite a sheltered spot so I have hopes for my liquoricey little friends. Love over wintering :D

This was a frugal tweet but is worth rehashing here – stuff does grow over winter albeit slowly: Planted over wintering onions in among the kale yesterday. Winter lettuce today.

Seem to be having some trouble prioritising blogging :) (the smiley denotes that I do not actually care about this in the slightest so do not expect it to change anytime soon ;) )

So, instead, I will draw your attention to a new blog on the sidebar. It makes me giggle every morning as I swig nettle tea and peruse the internet in bed, thinking of the Knickernator out running and smiling with her liver – Skedaddle!
