polytunnels and taps
Weve had a few spring-like days now, causing me to dig over some ground for the little polytunnel and clean and set up the coldframe to let the ground warm up for salad seeds. Browsing Suttons trying to decide what to plant this year – will have more room with extra raised beds… this really [...]

swan lake
There were swans on the loch yesterday

It’s been wonderful rediscovering ballet being for enjoyment, rather than an eternal striving (not to mention starving) for perfection. Looked out the old class music etc. I have but it’s all on cassettes [...]

Charlotte’s mince pies and chocolate logs made by a friend… said logs went very well with A Christmas Carol in 3D. Wonderful film, amazing having snow falling all round us like that

10 years on… and forest fruits…
10 years ago I had the idea of putting together a little vegan site, and my sweet potato and tomato soup was the very first recipe to go up. Today, it finally has a photo to go with it, not the best, I do seem to insist on slopping soup about a bit before snapping it :) Tofu quiche [...]
a flower, nice eats and beach
Chocolate mint layer cake made by a clever friend who is generally good at making things (recipe now in the comments below)
White chocolate mousse with red berries. Melt about 100g of cocoa butter and blend into a block of silken tofu with some icing sugar and vanilla…
Just loving all the veg and fruit from [...]

got totally soaked collecting blackcurrants for the smoothie this morning – was worth it, quite delicious In that jug are borage flowers, blackcurrants, plantain and curly kale plus a fair amount of rain - added to it were bananas, apple, brazil nuts, linseeds and red grape juice.
The tyre garden is growing well [...]
