Just two weeks after Willow, we have now lost Toby too, also aged 13. There he is in the ‘hot place’, so named due to it’s sheltered nature making it a lovely place to sunbathe at all times of year. Happily we’ve all been out there quite a bit recently enjoying the sun together. I always had the feeling he was ‘standing guard’, though right up into the last week of his life he still loved a joyous mad puppy dog roll on the grass as here:

I am so sorry for you all Lucy! Poor Toby. Is it a coincidence that he followed Willow so shortly afterwards? Maybe not…were they good friends?

I wouldn’t say they were very close. Toby had been getting older and slowing down for a while. Lion, however, was extremely fond of both of them
he seems happy enough, but we’re watching him a bit paranoidly…
Really hope that Lion will be ok and won’t miss his friends too much! Roberta XX
