I haven't actually seen it in shops either, I'm assuming it would be by the baby food and follow on milk, will look next time I'm shopping.

no have never dried any of them - can see they would be nice but generally just love the fruit fresh. however jam making is going on this year to get more winter usage of the fruit so making drying should too? will see how supplies go :D

Desperately want scones and cake now and if wasn't so lazy and idle I'd whip myself up some... if you have any leftover feel free to ship them my way! ;)

oh, have you tried drying fruits in your dehydrator? Just occurred to me that dried chopped up strawberries mixed into a scone mix would be delicious. That or all your delicious fruits made into fruit leathers. Keep meaning to try this out.

Cashew cream generally a cheaper option than macadamia. I'd make it more often but my blender really doesn't cope with nuts at all and it always stays slightly chunky...not too bad if mixing it in with a savoury dish but doesn't quite work with cakes and scones. :( I'd imagine macadamia/cashew cream would look and taste wonderful in a vanilla sponge crammed with strawberries. mmmmm.

It's delicious! I used to make it for friends when I was a teenager and serve it with scones and I never told them it was vegan...well, at least not until after they said how delicious it was. I must dig out the recipe. It takes a little while to make and require patience to keep it smooth...not something I am naturally blessed with!

mmmmm....macadamia cream. Cashew cream would also be good although I have made soya clotted cream before (but a bit time consuming).

I'm very much in need of a big vegan tea party now with lots of dainty sandwiches and homebaked goods! Dresses and big floppy hats optional.
