joyful swimming and pie

early morning swimming

When we bought this house the old endowments associated with our previous mortgage were no longer needed and we wanted to invest the money from them in this property (trying to be sensible). The kitchen was hanging by a thread so that got replaced and the children were given the choice of what the rest should be spent on. Their chosen pool has been a fantastic buy, on it’s 4th summer now, Charlotte being the most determined swimmer among us, beating her personal best every day!

Wishes Come True Pie from the novel Hubble Bubble, very delicious even with some substitutions for things like grains of paradise and job’s tears :D

I’d love to have a garden even big enough to fit that, I’d love my own pool I dont do enough swimming because our local pool is heavily chlorinated and dirty, it’s a shame really.

I just showed John this blog post. He wants a pool just like that when we win the Lottery and move to a house with a bigger garden! The pie, however, I should manage very soon! It looks SO tasty! I’m just off to follow your link to find out more about that book! :o )

    LOVE LOVE LOVE the pool!
It’s not fair we are permanently too skint and have a teeny garden boohoo. You have such a lovely life.
I agree with the first post, my local pool stinks of pee, is filthy and heavily chlorinated too.

ah, there are unlovely aspects to our lives too… but they would be non-inspirational blogging! Focus on what we want and love :)

amazon do have some smaller intex pools too quite reasonably priced :D (and they would be a lot easier to put up and maintain)
