A stroll round the garden yesterday:
Wonderful things that help us through the Scottish winter: hot water bottles filled from the big kettle on the wood stove each night, so cosy for the feet and full spectrum light bulbs, good for the mood in the dark times 
Living in the North of Scotland, vegan, home educating, dancing, cake eating, writing, woodland walking... no set subject matter here really though :)
The more ancient archives are the old home ed diary starting in June 2005 and evolving on from there.

No snow down in the south of Hampshire. Last week I experienced snow in Wolverhampton. The road to the car park where I park my car slopes and was covered with compacted snow. It was very slippery and the tyres wouldn’t grip. I eventually managed to drive up the slope but it took over 5 minutes to cover some 20 metres.
yes, we have a thick layer of ise under the snow here – it’s freezing very hard out there just now, rarely felt it so cold.
of course I meant *ice*
(frozen fingers after walk!)
