Another Historic Scotland educational event with the home ed group yesterday – very entertaining, I learned things :D

looking for the place where the bomb hit

changing the guard - the house was used for German POWs in the war

Photographer form P&J there by steps, should be something in Monday.

This is what happens when you add red cabbage to miso noodle soup (recipe here, scroll down a bit, there’s also tofu in pictured Disney cartoon soup):

purpley goodness

Aaand the Divine chocolates my friends got me them for Christmas – though I have to pretend I dont know.

Not to mention I suspect my mum has bought me loads of Vegan Chocolates AND my nan has definitly bought me some! My first Vegan Christmas and there trying to fatten me up.

the penguins are grogeous, only slightly chillied! Most of our pumkins rotted inside :( but we did get some small ones.

    lovely fattening chocolatey Christmas :D

We used to LOVE educational jaunts like that! Stirling Castle, which is very near us, was a favourite as well as the Hunterian Museum in Glasgow.

The food looks very tasty and I might just be tempted by those chocolates…

BTW, Hayley seems to have shut down her blog. If you know an e-mail address for her, could you send it to me privately, please? I think it must be because of the horrible messages she was getting…

That soup looks interesting. Do you happen to know of any other good uses for red cabbage? I find the colour bleeds out everywhere.

Too much of my time has been spent over the past few months with the Badman education reforms in England. It’s now reached parliamentary bill stage and looks very worrying. I hope that the Lords can delay it until time runs out this parliamentary term if it cannot be amended.

  6. Lucy says:

I don’t have Hayley’s email Penny and am sad to hear what’s been happening :(

We like soused red cabbage cooked up with a little vinegar, water and onion then gravy made on it.

I know – the badman stuff is fascistic beyond belief…

Ive certainly been on a few educational visits as part of home-education groups in the past! Where is this one? It looks like one of the country houses which I’ve been visiting as part of my university course!

    (I’m Penny’s son, btw)
