chocolate sneaks in everywhere here… so will start blog post with it. After going to see the naked people at the art gallery (well worth seeing, wow, the newborn baby, the scared wild man… they speak of human vunerability somehow despite the size) popped into the new health food shop in Aberdeen to find that Divine are doing a dark choc advent calendar this year (maybe they did before and we never knew?!) – ethical superstore have it too
Some of us are joining in with National Novel Writing Month which should be interesting – no inner editor for a month of manic writing of drivel fine literature… I wonder what we’ll churn out?
Have just been sent a beautiful Indian Vegetarian recipe book for review (will review it properly on main site in due course) – all recipes are either vegan or can be made vegan, lots of beautiful photos of food and India throughout – see the blog here.
Recently read Sophie Hannah’s The Point of Rescue, very exciting, “want to get back to when away from book”. Oh, to be able to write such a thing

fabulous guide to foraging in Britain.
amazing Russian books these: spirituality; growing; living naturally; raising children with love and respect; quite magical. Release any preconceived ideas of how life should be (or books) and create your space of love!
A very well researched novel which, alongside Picoult's usual 'heading to a trial' plot, explores many facets of and perspectives on Asperger's Syndrome. The potential and common effects of AS on siblings is especially well documented here. As gripping and informative a book as
a great storehouse of food growing knowledge from Dirty Nails :)
"Girls just wanna have... wanna have fun...", and we still are :)

Hehe, that’s the advent calendar I’m getting! It’s quite cheap too!
Speaking of Indian food I saw a picture of some Samosas you made but couldnt see the recipe, have you got one? I imagine it’s some pastry with potatos in lol.
Good luck with your writing. I can not for the life of me write without being my worst enemy, shouting at me to edit things, re-write and then after all the hard work discard it as rubbish lol! I hope you get lots done
I love Indian food. On Saturday my sister took me to see Grumpy Old Women live and we went to this restaurant first.

If you check out the menu all vegan items are listed (it’s veggie so the v stands for vegan
) The food was delicious
Pamela you live near me then! Unless of course you were only in the area temporarily! I thought it was a coincidence since Grumpy Old women was on in my area at the same time. I wanted to go see it – it’s got Wendy Richards in hasnt it?
Anyway, just thought I’d ask if it was any good.
Samosas from the book ‘ vegan with a vengeance’ – a very good recipe, highly recommend the book.
That sounds a lovely night out Pamela
Mel GOW was Jenny Eclair, Wendi Peters and Susan (susie?) Blake. It was funny and worth going to see
