garden doings

Browsing Sutton’s seed clearance, some good bargains…(would it be totally daft to attempt goji berries here???) got quite a few of our seeds from there this year and they were very good, no disasters :) B&Q have got lots of trays of veg plants reduced to 50p just now – nabbed a load of cabbage and kale for over-wintering, will polytunnel them once it gets colder. We love getting all the greens for the smoothies fresh picked, not shop bought. Last winter brocolli and kale did very well. Here they are with Davie’s fortifications against cats, rabbits and butterflies (listed in order of the level of chaos caused!) in their new raised bed built of old roof tiles.

…and fixing the swing seat – so many things seem designed to break after a couple of years now, little thin bits of metal where there should be strong :( well it’s strong now :)

The raised bed is looking good. Definitely looks like your garden swing is going to be fixed good and proper lol!

no, grow Goji berries!! They can be found on roadsides if you know where to look! They are surprisingly common in the wild.
