blackcurrants and tyres

got totally soaked collecting blackcurrants for the smoothie this morning – was worth it, quite delicious :) In that jug are borage flowers, blackcurrants, plantain and curly kale plus a fair amount of rain ;)  - added to it were bananas, apple, brazil nuts, linseeds and red grape juice.

The tyre garden is growing well :) The mint is great in Ben’s Jag one and the two new ones (Landrover and mini been lying in wood since we moved here) have spinach and basil seeds in. We have since unearthed two more in the wood, could start a museum!

Seeing some lovely old friends today now the school holidays have started and freed them up - off to do lunch things :D

John’s just away to the allotment to pick the greens and berries for this morning’s smoothie, as I type! :)
Plantain, eh? I must try to be braver about using ‘weeds’, though the family’s not in favour of the idea!!! :)
Do people just dump tyres in the wood? At least you’re puttting them to good use!

I think they were probably off vehicles to do with felling and gathering wood in the past, just dumped when they burst or whatever…. The landowner gets a big company to do the thinning now and they don’t leave any tyres – shame, it would be a monster of a size off that machine!!

hope your smoothie was good too – I’m sure it was :)
