pie and bed

Very simple – spelt pastry with onion, carrots and celery in a white sauce for filling, was very good with new tatties just pulled from garden :)

In the background is the ongoing construction of the first of the raised beds – were making them out of the old roof tiles and veranda wood. Very inspired by an old photo of the house and garden from the 70′s – all that back square of lawn was a big veg patch! Some very sixties looking colourful pottery came out of the trench too, going all time-team here :D

That pie looks GOOD! John always grows his veg. in raised beds, so was interested to see yours. I remember that pottery pattern from the 60s!
