swimming with the fish

not in a mafia style way but a ‘lovely hot day, need to be in the sea’ type way ;)

exposed rocks as tide goes out yesterday

a lovely jug of stuff from the garden, added OJ, avo, banana and hemp seeds to it :)

there’s a large section of the woods covered in these:

foxgloves

This morning we could tell it was going to be even hotter and everyone agreed swimming in the sea sounded good. Just getting ready when a friend texted with the same idea – beautiful synchronicity :)

rocks from above on the cliffs

sky and sea melting into one in the heat

was wonderful to see so many fish – pipefish, something flat and plaicey that darted away very fast along the floor and some others I don’t know what they were.

baby pipefish

very bad pic of some other fish

Swam somewhat tentatively between the jellyfish:

lovely swimming place

friends on a rock - go on you can just see them!

girls in the sea - again you can make them out there :)

    Looks idyllic!

  2. Penny says:

Oh, I so wish I could have been there! Not that I’m much of a swimmer, but I’d certainly have done some deep paddling…

  3. Lucy says:

It is very beautiful there :)

paddling and swimming, definitely excellent activities in the heat!!

  4. Penny says:

I meant to ask, do you have to travel far to get there?

  5. Lucy says:

no, were lucky to live quite close to the coast and a range of beaches.

  6. Penny says:

I have just turned green with envy! I would so love to live near beaches. On a hot day, it takes so long to get to one… That’s the disadvantage of living in the central belt…

  7. Lucy says:

everywhere has it’s pros and cons I guess – we do get very cold here in winter and have very strong winds, but yes, I love being near the sea :)
