steps

not feeling terribly inspired to blog, been up to eyes in the air purifying paint – nice stuff, but many walls to go… so just popping up these Fyvie Castle pics from last week else they’ll get forgotten about:

steps leading to avenue of trees

camera then ran out of battery so no pics of baby ducks, swans and geese but they were adorable

Onto The Book of Kin now in the Anastasia series – finding these books quite mind expanding. Small quote I read this morning on the education of children: “Children were taught without the compulsion they feel when they are made to sit and listen to a teacher against their will. The learning process unfolded moment by moment for both parents and their children, cheerfully and not obtrusively. It was something desirable and fascinating.” Lots of stuff about how we learn most from our feelings, thought provoking… also just starting with Ken Robinson’s The Element (get a taste of this in his TED talk here on youtube), so I will have plenty to think about while painting…
