It’s the tattie holidays – we get to see more of our friends who go to school Starting off at the Strathspey railway on a steam train

lots of interesting bits in the ticket office

seen in ‘Monarch of the Glen’ as Glenbogle but it’s actually Broomhill station

The autumn colours just blow me away at the moment:

yellow on brown

track and clouds

and leaning precariously out the window:

steam above

and then it was off to one of our favourite places – the Cairngorm Mountain via the funicular railway

snow all around

other train coming down

Particle physics bit was very interesting:

Muons

more muons and time diation...

train arrives to whisk us away down the mountain

off home amid autumn trees

…and then we ended the day visiting another friend to make  very exciting plans
