cirque and sushi

Went to the open day at the Sheriff Court last weekend – most fascinating… I had seen some of it when I did jury duty but they showed us a lot more including the cells, witness rooms, the prisoner route all the way to and including the van. Was fun to sit in the advocates chair and dock and one young boy had a good time whirling on the sheriff’s chair We found it very interesting hearing how the types of crime being most commonly dealt with there have changed over the years – various, but nearly all related to drugs in some way now

Our home ed group took up the front few rows of the stalls to see Le Grande Cirque du Soleil this week – what an amazing show, can highly recommend it. I do not usually like clowns but this one was charming and the impossible looking feats of bendyness, strength and balance were incredible. We got the schools rate which made the tickets much more affordable. No photos allowed during the show but I took a blurry one beforehand
