Fabulous ranger-guided home ed group trip to Culbin Forest:

found lots of little frogs and toads along here

I love Scots pine forests and am indulging myself with the pictures

identifying trees on the species trail

Spot the squirrels drey:

just to the left and down a little from the centre

anthill

gravel pit pond:

dragonflies galore here

wonderful bulrushes

bench by pond:

men and machines gone

Trip really reminded me of our first ever home ed group meet at another forest, wow, over 3 years ago now… how much weve all grown and learned since then :)

Back home now,  these gorgeous carrots from Charlotte’s garden were delicious sliced thinly in a salad with apples and lemon juice.

Our own pond this time, at dawn, love the light

and the montbrecia (sp?)

and at the opposite end of the day, the loch at dusk:

dark loch

and little Blaze by the door:

sits here every evening now
