tra la la la

Everything feeling all Christmassy but relaxed here. I get sleepier as we approach the solstice every year and perk up again in January. Been having some deep thoughts (stop groaning at the back!). Can’t really describe it clearly but it’s about love really. How some of us are being drawn to live our lives in ways that are different from the norm in various areas. Families being together and loving each other… not really able to put it in words so will stop there. It feels important somehow though, so thought I’d record.

There’s been some sewing:

Had a lovely day out in Aberdeen: lunching, shopping and art gallerying :D We split up to do our separate bits and all ended up meeting back at the gallery at the same time… looked round the Scotland Venice exhibition – synchronistic that as were planning some Italian stuff in our next block of academia starting in January. Almost seemed like the things I was looking for were laid out for me in the shops. Got a gorgeous hardback version of A Christmas Carol in Waterstones (£5 if you spend £20) – illustrations are incredibly beautiful. Inspired by that we are all doing a watercolour today, been reading the book too. Of course, slightly awkward only having the one book – I did my demonstration sketch and now have to await my turn with the book again

Been finding and exploring new paths in the woods;

Lots of piano playing going on – I really see this helping Daniel with his dyspraxic traits. The co-ordination is quite hard but he’s getting there. Always seems to me that when one area is helped others fall in with it too… brain gym stuff I guess. Had them doing fiddly gift wrapping things today, curling ribbons etc. (time well spent working in shop while at college :D ) and he found that much easier than I would have thought.
