lovely

Up really early this morning and had a little go at the nostalgic puzzle which we set up a couple of days ago:

this was yesterday - a bit more has been done now

It is a great puzzle – an Egyptian Chronicle, can’t walk by it without doing a bit. Ooh look I’ve found Moses feet/hieroglyphs/top of the pyramid of Cheops etc. Didn’t make me nostalge anymore really other than to realise that we have all the loveliness of that time now and the bad parts are gone, past, finis :) … and then things just continued in lovely strain from there. I put in an order of some little exciting fun things from Curious Minds and then realised that somehow my last order was on there too and I’d just paid for it all again. So I phone them up and a very nice lady (another Lucy) sorts it all out, tells me how much they appreciate the trade I send them and gives me 10% off :D The postman brought a French text book from a friend for the kids – weve had a go with it today and it’s really good – thank you so much :D Also my order of things from Detox Your World came and they’ve sent me a free copy of The Mother magazine :D

No sooner had I sorted that lot than a van arrived with Lush things… On taking Toby out for his early morning jaunt I found red hot pokers growing at the bottom of the garden. I remember having these in the garden when I was a child and telling my sister that I wanted these in my garden when I was grown up. This house and garden are like my lifetime’s wishes all granted :D So, very aware of our blessings today.

how did they suddenly appear - they can't have sprung up overnight surely?

…and some other abundance:

some of Dan's pumpkins Charlotte's peas (with some beans in the middle)

hairy little goosegogs

lots of large bushes of these

irises

and Charlotte’s been sketching in the style of the Lion King (with French names):
