pile of stones

Busy couple of days – kids did some oil painting with my Dad (not going to be doing it near a carpet again!). Charlotte especially enjoyed that – Daniel loved all the science talk.

Visited the Memsie burial cairn – yes it is a big pile of stones. Not much more to be said about it really. It just is a really big pile of stones. When they excavated it they found a leaf shaped sword and a beaker though so it’s seen something other than stones in the past :)

and again... it's a big pile of stones!

very windy - must be a strange view out that house window

and finally as you haven’t seen enough of the stones:

close up!!

Today we met friends in the park and had chips at the cafe – there was an awful while when it looked like the cafe was still shut for winter but it opened later :) From the sensory garden at the park:

I liked this - made of pieces of broken glass

lovely and bright

Took a spin by the old house and village as we were rather near it – nice trampoline up in the front garden. Had a card from the new owners the other day thanking us for the house and saying they love it :)

…and were still deeply enmeshed with WH. Here’s my old battered copy that I’ve had since I was eight.
