Busy couple of days – kids did some oil painting with my Dad (not going to be doing it near a carpet again!). Charlotte especially enjoyed that – Daniel loved all the science talk.
Visited the Memsie burial cairn – yes it is a big pile of stones. Not much more to be said about it really. It just is a really big pile of stones. When they excavated it they found a leaf shaped sword and a beaker though so it’s seen something other than stones in the past

and finally as you haven’t seen enough of the stones:

Today we met friends in the park and had chips at the cafe – there was an awful while when it looked like the cafe was still shut for winter but it opened later :) From the sensory garden at the park:

Took a spin by the old house and village as we were rather near it – nice trampoline up in the front garden. Had a card from the new owners the other day thanking us for the house and saying they love it
…and were still deeply enmeshed with WH. Here’s my old battered copy that I’ve had since I was eight.
