snow!

Had a really nice Mothers Day. Children bought me breakfast in bed – porridge with yogurt and blueberries and toast :) Got some lovely Lush things and chocolate and sewed bits… went out for lunch with family too.

Chinese dragon on box by Charlotte - I got this filled with chocs :) Lid is mosaiced.

It snowed overnight so much fun was had early in the morning. I went round the garden taking photos:

daffs under tree

willow catkins appearing

Revised some basics with Chem4kids then out came the chemistry set and we continued working through. The natural ‘fitting in of subjects’ that seem to happen with HE in evidence in that we’d come to the bit about indicators, like we’d been using on Saturday. Used tea, lemon and bicarb to detect acid and alkaline:

tea with lemon anyone? turns lighter... and then darker again with the bicarb (once fizz was gone)

Played the maths snap game as pairs:

and put hares in main lesson books:

Love these days where we get so much in… and there’s still lots of time left – everyone off reading now :)
