I did a bit of catch up on vegan family and put up a lovely strawberry mousse which is very similar to the chocolate one in ingredients but runnier with the strawbs – recipe and pics here

Went over to the loch of Strathbeg yesterday after Nicola phoned to tell us about the sea eagle. First nipped into town and invested in some good binoculars. Glad we did as they gave us a very good look at some swans, mute and whooper and ducks – mallards, teal, wigeon and goldeneyes (the RSPB man was very informative and chatty!). They’ll be useful for the loch here too – lots of very shy birds that stay in the distance. Don’t think we saw the eagle though we did see something very large flying about as we were leaving – could have been a heron though. Unfortunately the binocs don’t take pics so we have this blurry effort:
