winter solstice

There’s been no break in the frosts – they seem to get thicker each day. However this leads to sparkling days of sunshine :)

and rosehips that have clung on

We gathered holly and fir trimmings from the garden this morning and they are strewn around now:

not sure if there's a holly bush in the new garden - will soon remedy that if not :)

Then we trekked up to the local stone circle – all captured on camera:

through the woods...

and...

out to the circle

some strange effects on  some of these photos with the low sun – this was about mid-day.

Then this afternoon it’s been marzipan sweets and icing biscuits…

experimenting with making the icing with hot and cold water...
