don’t know if it’s the hurricane tail or not. Did lots of indoor things today. Charlotte had some Eerie English and Momentous Maths – she still really likes those, have ordered a couple more in the series. Dan was on 2xl again. Kids now play a maths game while I hoover round first thing. Today it was Magic Cauldron which is frankly too easy but I suppose it still activates maths thinking for them in the morning. After that we all did the New York City Ballet workout – I especially enjoyed that, kids found it a bit hard but made it to the end. We also watched one of the dancers video diaries which was interesting. With lunch we had our usual plants today backed up with just one simple worksheet – rainforest strata. This episode looked at some woodland very similar in plant life to one near us so we had our walk there today to look at the willowherb, foxgloves and trees. Played this Egyptian Game in the afternoon – all liked that which bodes well for the Romans one we also have. Also read some more of My Ishmael (this is a very link laden post!) which got put aside for the summer – it really does make you look at things from another angle. Was laws today but I can see we are coming up to a bit about education which should be good. The children seem to remember the concepts discussed quite well and relate it to various subjects that come up.

Very nice link: BBC Guide to the Orchestra - some lovely pieces of music flitting about there
