Freedom!

Yes, well. I liked the film Braveheart but this new game from BBC Scotland education told me off for including it in my historical tour of the wars of independence. Daniel and Charlotte both did better than me – my tour was very popular though :)

Just having a quiet couple of days at home after all the rushing about of the weekend. It really is feeling a bit autumnal here. Can feel that atmosphere of ‘back to school soon’ growing in the world, though there’s also a feeling of relief that were not involved in all that now. I do love this time of year – there’s a sort of reflective, wise, ancient calmness of nature slowing down, can’t really put it into words. Didn’t sleep in the tent last night as it was quite chilly but hopefully we’ll manage a night or two more before we take it down. Weve been reading more of My Ishmael together, kids have been animal crossing again and I’ve been perusing Diana Cooper’s new book which goes very well with the bleep of a couple of nights ago :) Have also been emersed in very down to earth activies such as catching up on washing, cleaning floors and windows, washing car, de-fleaing animals etc. Davie has subscribed to Setanta Sports channels and today I tried their workout programme. Was a really good session on an exercise ball – ladies were a bit excessively happy about it all I thought, the more an exercise hurt the happier they became. Not sure that’s healthy…
