Squeezed a lot into Davie’s weekend off – Hamlet and castle already written about. Yesterday was a scorcher and we spent the whole day at the beach – all got a bit red despite suncream. Was great though – kids were swimming in the sea which inspired the first of today’s activities – going to the swimming pool. I really don’t like going to the pool much – feels like being in a great big people soup. Charlotte especially loved it though so we will be trying to make a more regular thing of it. We then nipped across to the cinema and watched Stormbreaker – exciting stuff. Ended up going to the ice-rink and having a skate, or at least shuffling along grasping onto the edge or just sitting watching while complaining about the discomfort of the hired skates depending who you’re describing :) All agree that it’s not really our thing but was good to have a go.
After we got home Michaela popped in to see us with all her news from the castle. Then finally we got around to watching What the Bleep do we Know? That was good – I need to be reminded I know about stuff like this already and hear it put in a different way. Everyday life goes on and I forget. Love these water crystals – had to search old diary to find the link! Will be trying to create my day tomorrow but for now off to create a nice evening :) Charlotte is planting a peach orchard on Animal Crossing right now- the latest craze in this house… can see the educational value for her as she’s been having to think up good adverts for her shop and asking for quite a few spellings.
