An impromptu picnic this evening. Charlotte’s idea – she said the temperature was at 22C so it wouldn’t be cold. It was actually really warm and sunny. Stuffed some sausage rolls, sandwiches, cucumber sticks, bananas, biccies, crisps, sweets, cider, juice etc. in a bag and off we trundled. We saw a group (pod? school?) of minke whales swimming about. Have seen them there before but it always feels special. After our meal we went for an extremely long walk/climb over rocks and round quite a few craggy bays – very prehistoric looking landscape. You can’t reach it when the tide is in.
