Thought I’d do a bit of a catch up else I’ll forget what weve been doing. Lots planned for later in the day so were having a vegging out morning. Kids are busily occupied with the Da Vinci Code on PS2, I’ve done loads (literally) of washing and it’s hanging out there in the mist possibly getting wetter.
Yesterday my sister came over for the day. In the morning we went to see The Lake House at the cinema. I resisted the urge to pick holes in the plot and just sat back and enjoyed it. We all cried except Charlotte who’s obviously made of stronger stuff. Had a hilarious game of Cranium and went for an incredibly long walk. The latter came about when we were discussing the various stone circles in the area and the fact that there is one that weve never been able to find. The local council have recently put up a sign for it at a road we’d never thought of looking for it down (does that make sense?). So at around 8pm we were stumbling around in the misty woods to no avail. On checking a map later we saw that this entrance to the woods is located further than any other from the circle – I do love the constancy of the council, you’ve got to admire them for it
and had to have a record of something that’s enhancing our lives so much at the moment. Whenever we open a door or window at the back of the house the scent of this honeysuckle wafts in. Out in the garden it’s like being in a cloud of perfume – just loving the summer even though it’s wet and chilly just now.
