impressions of a pear

Rainy and cold. Last night we watched The Impressionists on BBC1 (nice gallery here – not actually connected to the programme) – really enjoyed it. We saw a Degas sculpture at the art gallery the other day so this fitted in well. Had a look at Sister Wendy’s Story of Painting book afterwards. This morning we had a go at some still life pencil drawing – love going with things when everyone’s inspired :)

Also today we all did quite a hard Astanga yoga workout and a lovely ‘letting go’ meditation from the Sparkling CD mentioned a few days back, played French games, read more Animal Farm and had a long walk admiring the greening of the Earth. Love this time of year. Now were off to watch rubbish on television, in British bank holiday tradition.

Les Courses a Faire – this is a shopping trolley game whereby you have to obtain all the items on your list – good practice of food names.
