27 children

Just had a nice quiet day here after all the gadding about of the last week. We all did a mountain meditation from relax kids followed by a pilates workout. Then kids both did some maths which I backed up with games – Dan was working on primes and composites so we played Trilemma and Charlotte was on her 24 hour clocks – I had to customise an old tell the time game we have to make it harder and add this element! After lunch we read a big chunk of the Triffids and then went for a walk in the woods. Also nipped to do some birthday shopping for Davie tomorrow :)

Last night we watched ‘The Couple with 27 Children‘ about a couple who have adopted 23 children with special needs. What amazing people. They home ed. all the children too. Having worked in schools and institutions where children with these conditions are taught I could see the amazing results this family were getting in comparison. We were all horrified by the nasty people who tried to bring them down – Daniel was particularly shocked at the ignorance displayed. Anyway it was most inspiring to see that people can be so selfless like this.
