Frohe Ostern! Deviating away from French momentarily
Lynda brought these back from Germany for Charlotte and they’ve actually been gracing the bay tree in the sitting room ever since. Now seemed the right moment to mention them in the diary though… Was a lovely sunny morning, still really windy and weve been going in and out, lying on the swing seat, trampolining, drawing, reading, house leafing up for autumn again etc. I highly recommend lying down on a swing seat in the sun – it’s so relaxing. This was just a cheap one from the DIY shop and has had to be repaired by Davie and has old cushions of my Granny’s on it now so no longer looks remotely glamourous but is still just as mellowing. After lunch we did a little Easter egg hunt following clues around the house (this is a bit of a tradition with us now) – good fun and everyone very pleased with their finds

Article from beeb: “Children must have a childhood“, quite interesting. Have been reading in ‘Beyond the Indigo Children‘ how advertisers target children and techniques being used to do this. Saying a similar thing I guess – pleased to hear it coming from more orthodox circles too. Getting a lot out of that book just now, quite different from previous indigo books, full of all sorts of fascinating facts, no doubt some of it conjecture. Has a deep respect for children though so I resonate with much of it.
Lovely sun-filled walk today in woods so gorse in bloom from there and pot by house below. Davie’s home really early today so off to make special roast dinner for tonight.
