Weve started reading Day of the Triffids together, taking it in turns to read. Interesting to see how so much in the book is still valid today and the concept of a devasting Earth-wide event really grips the kids imagination. Funny how swear words are blanked out except for the first letter – not something you often see in modern fiction.
