Another grey rainy day – were so going to appreciate sunny weather when it appears! Dan did a maths tutorial – still impressed with the 2XL program – it is so much better than the secondary maths I got at school (but then it’s not psychotic like the maths teachers I had were). Charlotte did both maths and English stuff – lots of. We played a brain game thing we have with marbles – a bit like Chinese Chequers. All cooked lunch together, minestrone soup, read up on it’s origins etc. here. Charlotte wrote down the recipe we created (lovely with lots of olive oil and fresh torn basil) in her cookery notebook. Very delicious
Have listened to lots of Chopin this morning – also delicious. This afternoon we did some sewing with a patchwork quilting set. Daniel found it really hard. I feel torn between thinking that he needs lots of fiddly practical stuff like this to help him and then feeling, well, he didn’t come here to do quilting did he? Hmm…

amazing Russian books these: spirituality; growing; living naturally; raising children with love and respect; quite magical. Release any preconceived ideas of how life should be (or books) and create your space of love!
A very well researched novel which, alongside Picoult's usual 'heading to a trial' plot, explores many facets of and perspectives on Asperger's Syndrome. The potential and common effects of AS on siblings is especially well documented here. As gripping and informative a book as
