whale

Poor Whale :( all feel very sad for it and all it went through.

Been reading through news stories online and apparantly this species has been spotted in our area of Scotland in the last week. This is very unusual, they are more nornally seen in the West. Maybe something has been disrupting them.

Played a fantastic game of Cranium last night (one of Dan’s presents). The image of Davie acting out ‘fairy cake’ and ‘cat litter tray’ will stay with me for a long time. Though it says it’s for teens and adults, Charlotte really liked it too, especially the arty parts like clay and drawing. Have written up the wheat free cake recipe I made up for the birthday cake here

Today weve been watching the whale being lifted and boated away – amazes me the amount of media attention it’s getting. Obviously it’s previously unknown to have a whale swimming in the Thames and it’s nice to see people caring about another creature… anyway hope it all goes well and it gets released safely. Kids have been fascinated with the whole process and this other harbour porpoise turning up. Other than that weve walked in woods, shopped in preparation for more adventuring starting this week. Think I will take laptop with me this time as we’ll be gone for longer. Will probably not get diary put up until were back but I can write it up so I don’t forget loads, and there should be lots of interesting places and pictures (have possibly planned more than can be fitted in!) to make up for gap in reporting :)
