toasties and art

Family day out today as Davie had a day off. All had nice lie in then brunch consisting of vegan cheese and tomato toasties with salad. Drove over to Duff House as I wanted to see the exhibition by Peter Nardini and it ends today. Was very good, there was also a short ‘behind the scenes’ film of Scottish Ballet. I remember being that thin and bendy once ;-) A very friendly guide chatted to the children (they were doing a quiz throughout the house) and asked which school they went to. Don’t usually expect to have to explain home ed. on the weekends, but she seemed very fascinated and positive about it. Quite sunny and less windy than usual for winter up here, so we headed off to Banff Links beach and had a long walk. Also had a good play in their better-than-most playpark. Below: Duff House and the beach, Davie demonstrating his prowess on the digger (had to bribe him with chocolate to get him to come away from that!) and kids getting hang of it too :)
