We all did the meditation below – was really good. For anyone else who liked it, it’s from The Meditation Book by John Randolph Price. Just having a quiet family day – Charlotte has looked out her cookery book again and is ready to write down recipes for roast potatoes and sage and onion stuffing, both part of our roast dinner planned for tonight.

Willow has ‘moved in’ to the house/spaceship! I love Charlotte’s colour changing light thing, don’t love the sinkful of dishes in the background quite as much ;)

Going to do the World Healing Day meditation today at noon. Not sure if anyone else will want to join me but will offer them the chance :) In complete contrast was sent this very interesting though heart-rending article on bullying – lots of research quoted.

Will be nice to start off on a ‘school-less’ year. I have been observing my kids’ unrestrained appreciation of various things over this festive period. If they like things – they really like them. Sounds a bit strange I know, but by the end of our time at state school their behaviour, and mine, was being badly affected by other peoples’ nastiness and narrow-mindedness. If I bought something for them, especially though not exclusively Daniel, I would be thinking – oh no, there’s going to be taunting about this. Better not buy that then – could attract more bullying. So ridiculous and sad :( Thank goodness were free from that stuff now. They are free to enjoy whatever they like now – today it has been bouncy balls with sparkly tails, Harry Potter top trumps, RISK with their own rules (seemed even more complicated!), various books, Chicken Run (film), drawing cartoon characters on vests with fabric crayons (not sure if they’ll wash ok, will see) and other childish activities.
