Had a very industrious cleaning morning – all very boring really but nice now done. Have had a sprinkling of snow but mainly a hard frost – bin was frozen shut, maybe telling me not to be so lazy and recycle more stuff! Had a fresh and crunchy walk out of the village to the lake – saw a young swan and some geese. Talking of recycling (well sort of) have written up my Boxing Day ‘left-over using’ cream of spinach and celery soup here. Daniel has been loving playing Age of Mythology, fighting the Titans and Greeks, being Atlantean, creating fire and ice giants etc. Charlotte has taken one of the present storing boxes and is building a dolls house – she’s now adding a colourful attic.
