Spent the morning feeling all disorganised and out of sorts – think it was a combination of PMT and a pre-Christmas panic. Suddenly realised it’s less than 2 weeks ’til Christmas day and were having all the family round here. Went and did some panic buying – pudding is very well organised now anyway – and felt better. Had friends round in the afternoon to play – was calm by then. Daniel has been studying islands again and really enjoying the sites about flags and Christmas mentioned below. Charlotte is reading ‘The Silver Chair‘ in the Narnia series now. She’s very impressed that the children escape awful bullying at school by getting into Narnia in this one.

A very well researched novel which, alongside Picoult's usual 'heading to a trial' plot, explores many facets of and perspectives on Asperger's Syndrome. The potential and common effects of AS on siblings is especially well documented here. As gripping and informative a book as
a great storehouse of food growing knowledge from Dirty Nails :)
