Narnia

Just been sent this free worksheet creator.

My oldest friend came to visit today with her son – that is old in the time I have known her not in actual age Had a lovely time catching up, reminiscing with bitter school stories and eating. Went out to the local garden centre to be emersed in the festive madness. Bought the children gingerbread men and a gingerbread cow – while reading the wrapper I discovered the political correctness of these biscuits – he was not a gingerbread man but a “traditional gingerbread person” – most amusing. Found some really good Narnia activity books there (Charlotte noticed the wardrobe stand they were in) – kids are doing them now. Some quite tricky codes to crack in them. Got the boys this one and Charlotte this which has just had us working on division. Daniel is now on a page that asks you to draw a creature you’ve read about but never seen like Mr. Tumnas the faun – a dementor is being formed. So maths, spelling, logic and art – and all so fun as they are enthused about Narnia just now

Trip to see ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ yesterday. Really good – very close to the book, though I don’t feel Aslan was very clear about love being the deepest magic (was very taken with that as a child) – must go and look in book and see what he says there. We were all gripped beginning to end and the children all seemed very right for their roles. If you are going to see it, don’t get up and leave as soon as the credits roll – keep watching Hope they’re going to make the other books too.

Went and did some shopping – kids chose an ornament each for the tree. They have decorated it this evening while Davie and me sat drinking our hot chocolate – lovely. It looks colourful and wild!
