Advent candles

Today we decorated advent candles and then gathered some natural bits and bobs on our walk to surround them (all very Waldorf with our willow basket!). There were three sprigs of that stuff with red berries just waiting for us on the ground (must look up what that is). Turned out very well – look lovely. You can’t really see in the picture but Dan did his red candle with gold Roman numerals. We also picked up a pretty branch which we have spray painted silver out in the garage. There it will stay until it’s smell fades – used the enamel paint tin left over from doing Charlotte’s bike. It looks great – not quite sure what were going to do with it. Watched the rest of David Copperfield. Charlotte is now writing a book about otters – a work of fiction with some Dickensian aspects :) Daniel has set himself the task of learning about a new plant species and an animal species every day.
