world vegan day, maths, graves

World Vegan Day today. Went for a day out in Aberdeen with my mum and sister. Tried a new cafe for lunch – lots of interesting art on the walls. The museum we intended going to was inexplicably closed. Got new winter jackets and jumpers for children. Browsed the Third World Shop then went for a look at all the old gravestones in the churchyard of St. Nicholas Kirk – fascinating with many really old stones going back to the 1700s and some extremely ornate ones (Charlotte thought that tall one below looked like a lipstick but I think it was actually broken). Met some people we know in Holland and Barratts – how strange and coincidental! Children got a new book each in Ottakars. Got an email from the makers of Timez Attack to thank us for mentioning it on the site – so nice, so am mentioning it again! It really is very good – have now seen other children who profess to hate maths excitedly play this game.
