a little birdhouse in my soul

Our little birdhouse in a pear tree (painted by Charlotte) that we can see from the sitting room window – you can just detect a coal tit on there. The birds go mad for black sunflower seeds – Daniel filled it up yesterday afternoon and they are just about finished. We bought the birdhouse from the Centre for Alternative Technology shop here

It is utterly freezing today – driving rain coming in through the cat flap and blowing all up the hall! Prior to the rain starting the children were out on the trampoline which is now covered in autumn leaves. The low temperature overnight has obviously caused a huge fall – they looked like strange, large falling snow when I got up this morning. Did a lovely meditation about floating down a river this morning from this CD – goes nicely with all out river activities. Settled back into doing some more written work after the trampolining – maths abilities really coming along with Trilemma. Did some work on time: 24 hour clock/digital/analogue – everyone is just about reaching understanding now :)

Our friend Catriona is going to be doing a cookery demonstration at a Cruelty-Free Christmas Fair in Edinburgh (FreeMason Hall, 96 George Street, EDINBURGH… Sat 26th November, 11am to 4pm… Entry – £1 for adults, under 16′s free) – must try and get down to that, sounds like there will be a lot of good stalls and food (and of course cookery!).
