H10

Over at my Mums today. Daniel and my Dad had long discussions about WW2 (Dad lived through it as a child in Glasgow), water acidity (H20, H10 etc.) and politics. Taught the children to play Rummy and played several games – that was fun with ‘behind the doors’ added on. I married Homer Simpson this week… oh well… Downloaded a free times table game “Timez Attack“, quite scary with amazing graphics for a maths game. Children have been arguing over who gets to play it. It looks much like a playstation game but teaches tables in a clever way, unlike some so-called teaching programs which just ask you the answers to sums with no teaching involved (times table soundtrack game not recommended!). Here you get to fight trolls with maths… lovely :) edit in: we did go on to get the full version which is even better with different things to fight!

Update on Charlotte’s BMX – it is now rust free and covered with a thick layer of sparkly silver paint. Such a thick layer that it almost couldn’t be put back together. It just needs it’s tyres blowing up a bit and off we go! **edit in – she did practice like mad on this and learned through determination.
