ufos, ww2 and frost

Daniel and me sat up last night and watched a programme about UFOs – one of his special interests. It really was quite fascinating with lots of stuff about technologies that were being developed during WW2 by the Nazis. Showed one of their secret scientific bases deep in a mountain in Poland… very spooky. I’d forgotton about foo fighters – another aspect explored :)

Last night we had our first really hard frost of the season – Charlotte was very pleased saying it was the first step to snow! As usual after one of these early frosts it has been a really bright, fresh sunny day.

Found really good bit about children in WW2 on BBC – it’s such a large subject and I don’t want to traumatise anyone. We will cover the more horrendous parts but will ease in gently to start.

Had some friends over for lunch which was nice – lots of chatting on the part of the adults. The kids went mad on the trampoline, built robots (or attempted to), played an alien spaceship game and generally had great, riotous fun.
