Landmark

Had a strange day yesterday though it all turned out good. We travelled up and over to the Highlands to meet up with some other home edders. Due to some crossed wires it turns out we were waiting in the wrong place to meet them! Started off at Insh Marshes (in wrong car park but right marsh :) Was very beautiful, saw some deer and a grouse. I love it up in the Highlands – the world feels so different there; calmer and slower somehow. We then decided to go on to Landmark and had a great time. All enjoyed the tree top trail, even Daniel who used to be quite scared on it. His favourite part was definitely MicroWorld with its microscopes – had trouble getting out of there. Not as much trouble as we had getting out of the maze though – sure they’ve rearranged it since I was last there. Charlotte and me attempted to climb the fire tower but felt too high half way up so came down – an amazing structure.

Torrential rain today – enjoying watching it – it’s been ages since we had a real downpour… shame I’ve left cushions out in the garden though! Should mention that Redhouse Books are selling a set of 10 Horrible Geography books at £9.99 at the moment – ordered them and a set of Charlotte’s favourite Demon Headmaster books (she discovered these in the library – I’m not forcing anti-school propaganda on her :-) .
