A few nights ago we went to a friend’s 50th birthday party with the theme of ‘Grease’ the movie. Was great fun, very friendly happy crowd of people.
Went to a vintage tractor working day – was quite interesting, different from our usual activites. Saw some oat thrashing, ploughing, various old farming implements and lots of tractors, all shapes and sizes and colours!
Trip to Crathes Castle today. Autumn is always really beautiful there with all the colours in the woods – went for really long walk by the Coy Burn. The conker collection has now swelled to 166 and has some acorns interspersed throughout! There are two excellent exhibitions, one on wildlife and one about the history of the castle and family, went to both this afternoon. Charlotte meets the knight who was first given the land at Crathes by Robert the Bruce:
